Gathering for Thanksgiving?

As we approach Thanksgiving we must remember to keep Self-care on our to-do-list. With Covid on the rise we definitely need to be mindful of our health and those around us to insure we don’t put someone at risk.  Although it’s not recommended I know many of us still plan to have small gatherings with our love ones. I urge you to be careful as you gather and enjoy your Holiday as we have so many things to be thankful for considering the year we’ve had thus far.  Do not overwork yourself, make sure you rest and relax, do not over eat, make time to journal about your feelings and know they are valid.

Tips for Holiday Self Care

•Keep exercise at the top of your list . Physical activity is the number one tip I recommend because it reduces stress, improves mood and concentration, and combats depression.

•Make sure you are expressing gratitude.

•Be sure to get adequate sleep.

•Feel (don't eat or drink) your feelings. It’s ok and all feeling are valid and remember many are temporary.

•List things you love about yourself and/or the value you bring.
